Gemist Partners With Saban Onyx to Power Digital Jewellery Customisation for Retailers
Los Angeles: Jewellery technology platform Gemist has partnered with manufacturer Saban Onyx to introduce a digital jewellery customisation solution for retailers.

The platform brings together Gemist’s customer-facing customisation technology with Saban Onyx’s US-based manufacturing capabilities. The solution can be integrated into a retailer’s website, allowing customers to design jewellery in real time, view product visuals, receive instant pricing and move closer to purchase either online or in-store.

As per media reports, Madeline Fraser, Founder and CEO of Gemist, said the partnership will help retailers offer a stronger custom jewellery experience with better visuals, dynamic pricing and a smoother ordering process through Saban Onyx.

Saban Onyx operates a factory in New York City with more than 80 employees. The company will support the platform with personalised manufacturing services, including complimentary CAD designs and 360-degree videos for every order.

The partnership also removes key barriers often linked to custom jewellery. There are no minimum order requirements, no added fees for small or custom orders, and the turnaround time is approximately 14 business days.

The report added that Meir Saban, President of Saban Onyx, said the collaboration reflects the future of fine jewellery retail, where technology and craftsmanship work together. He said Saban Onyx’s focus on flexibility, quality and speed, combined with Gemist’s platform, will help retailers offer a more differentiated custom jewellery experience.

Gemist said the collaboration will allow retailers to offer fully customisable collections without holding inventory. For customers, the platform creates a more visual and faster buying journey, helping them make decisions more easily while supporting higher conversion rates and average order values for retailers.

Fraser also noted that customisation is no longer optional for retailers, as consumers increasingly expect digital, visual and personalised buying experiences. With this platform, Gemist will power the technology layer, while Saban Onyx will serve as its first manufacturing partner.

The partnership highlights a growing shift in jewellery retail, where digital tools, real-time pricing and flexible manufacturing are becoming important for retailers looking to offer personalised products at scale.
