Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers Expands Maharashtra Network With 34th Showroom in Chiplun

Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers has launched its 34th showroom in Chiplun, Maharashtra, inaugurated by actor Aadesh Bandekar. The store brings the brand’s 117-year heritage of traditional Maharashtrian bridal jewellery, modern gold, and certified diamonds to the Konkan region

Chiplun: Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers has strengthened its retail presence in Maharashtra with the opening of its 34th showroom in Chiplun, Ratnagiri district. The new outlet was inaugurated by actor and television presenter Aadesh Bandekar in the presence of company representatives and local guests, extending the heritage jewellery retailer’s reach across the Konkan region.

The opening marks another milestone in the brand’s 117-year journey, bringing its traditional Maharashtrian jewellery collections, contemporary designs and diamond jewellery offerings to customers in Chiplun and surrounding areas.

The showroom features an extensive selection of gold jewellery rooted in Maharashtra’s cultural traditions, including handcrafted Thushi chokers, Kolhapuri Saaj, Bakuli Haars, Chinchpeti and Mohanmalas. These designs form an important part of the retailer’s bridal and occasion-wear portfolio, catering to customers seeking traditional jewellery for weddings, festivals and family celebrations.

Alongside its heritage collections, the store offers a range of mangalsutra designs, spanning elaborate gold pieces for bridal purchases and lightweight diamond-studded styles suited to everyday wear. The assortment also includes contemporary gold jewellery, rings, bangles and earrings, addressing the preferences of younger consumers and customers seeking versatile designs.

A dedicated selection of certified solitaire and diamond jewellery further broadens the showroom’s offering, allowing customers to explore traditional gold ornaments and contemporary fine jewellery within a single retail destination.

The Chiplun opening forms part of Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers’ strategy to strengthen its presence across regional Maharashtra. As an established commercial centre in Ratnagiri district, Chiplun provides access to customers from the surrounding Konkan belt, bringing a wider selection of branded jewellery closer to local buyers.

The expansion also reflects the growing importance of regional markets in organised jewellery retail, where established brands are extending their networks beyond metropolitan centres to serve customers seeking traditional craftsmanship, certified products and a broader range of designs.

Alongside its company-operated showrooms, Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers is pursuing expansion through a franchise model, with an indicated initial investment requirement of approximately ₹2.5 crore. The approach is intended to support the brand’s continued retail growth across selected markets.

With the addition of its Chiplun showroom, Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers continues to build on its longstanding association with Maharashtrian jewellery traditions while expanding access to its gold, diamond and contemporary collections across the state.
