Bengaluru: Contemporary Polki jewellery brand Tyaani Fine Jewellery, co-founded by filmmaker Karan Johar, has commenced its Bridal Trunk Show at its Dickenson Road boutique in Bengaluru. The showcase will continue until 19th July 2026, before travelling to other key markets across India.
The Bengaluru edition presents more than 300 handcrafted bridal jewellery pieces, including uncut diamond chokers, layered necklaces, statement earrings and coordinated bridal sets.
This season, the brand has placed greater emphasis on lighter interpretations of traditional bridal jewellery. The collection combines heritage-inspired forms with contemporary proportions, allowing brides to wear elaborate designs with greater comfort.
Emeralds, rubies and pearls bring colour and contrast to the gold and uncut diamond compositions, while the overall design language remains rooted in traditional Indian bridal aesthetics.
A key focus of the showcase is modular jewellery. Selected necklaces and earrings feature detachable elements that allow larger bridal pieces to be converted into lighter designs after the wedding. This approach extends the wearability of high-value jewellery and responds to growing demand for versatile bridal purchases.
The 12-city trunk show also supports Tyaani’s wider retail strategy. Rather than relying entirely on permanent boutiques, the travelling format allows the brand to present its bridal collections directly to customers in established cities as well as emerging luxury markets.
The model enables personal consultations, product trials and customised orders while helping the brand build relationships with regional consumers. It also creates an opportunity to understand local design preferences before committing to larger retail expansion.
Founded in 2016 by Karan Johar and jeweller Shravan Satyani, Tyaani is known for giving traditional Polki jewellery a more contemporary expression. Its designs feature uncut diamonds set in 22-carat gold, with an open-setting technique intended to enhance light movement through the stones while reducing the visual and physical heaviness often associated with conventional Polki jewellery.
During the Bengaluru showcase, customers can access special purchase benefits, including the option to lock in the prevailing gold rate for bridal orders. The brand is also offering reduced making charges on selected customised orders placed during the event.
Following Bengaluru, the trunk show will travel to Delhi from 21st to 26th July, Mumbai from 28th July to 2nd August, Surat from 4th to 9th August, Ahmedabad from 11th to 16th August, Lucknow from 18th to 22nd August, and Pune from 25th to 30th August.
The tour will continue in September with showcases planned in Jalandhar, Chandigarh, Jammu and Kolkata.
