Jewelers Of America Launches Nina Pugliese Memorial Scholarship to Support Jewellery Talent
New York: Jewelers of America has announced the Nina Pugliese Memorial Scholarship in partnership with Henne Jewelers.

The scholarship has been created in memory of Nina Pugliese, a dedicated jewellery professional who worked for four decades at Henne Jewelers. During her career, she worked in different roles, including buyer, designer and salesperson, and was known for her professionalism, integrity, creativity and service.

The initiative supports emerging talent and working professionals in the jewellery industry who want to improve their knowledge and skills through education or training. It also recognises candidates who show a strong commitment to craftsmanship, ethical practices, community values and lifelong learning.

Applicants will be asked to explain how their current work or studies in the jewellery industry, their personal values and their future career goals reflect the legacy of Nina Pugliese.

The scholarship is open to applicants who are 18 years or older. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited or certified jewellery training programme starting by fall 2026 or currently employed in the jewellery industry. They must also be residents and citizens of the United States.

The application period runs from 14th May to 30th June 2026. A Jewelers of America staff committee will review the applications and select five finalists. The final recipient or recipients will be chosen by Henne Jewelers and Nina Pugliese’s family. The selections are expected to be finalised by early August, and the scholarship announcement will be made by mid-August.

The scholarship reflects Jewelers of America’s continued focus on jewellery education and professional development. By supporting individuals who share Nina Pugliese’s values, the initiative aims to help build the next generation of skilled and responsible jewellery professionals.
