Panvel: Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers has opened a new showroom in Panvel, strengthening its retail presence in Maharashtra. Located at Vasant Smruti, MTNL Road, the outlet offers a range of gold, diamond and silver jewellery.
The showroom was inaugurated by veteran actors Ashok Saraf and Nivedita Saraf. Ashok Saraf, a recipient of the Padma Shri and Maharashtra Bhushan, joined Nivedita Saraf for the ceremony, marking another retail milestone for the jewellery house.
Announcing the opening, the brand highlighted its focus on fine craftsmanship and cherished traditions, presenting the Panvel showroom as a continuation of the legacy that has shaped its jewellery offering.
Founded in 1909 in Mumbai’s Girgaon by brothers Waman Hari Pethe and Ganesh Hari Pethe, the business completed 117 years in 2026. From its beginnings in pearl and gold trading, it has developed a jewellery portfolio spanning traditional Maharashtrian designs and contemporary collections.
The brand’s longstanding association with regional craftsmanship includes bridal forms such as Thushi chokers, Kolhapuri Saaj necklaces and traditional pearl Nath designs. Alongside these heritage styles, its wider portfolio encompasses contemporary gold, diamond and gemstone jewellery.
The Panvel opening comes amid continued retail development across Maharashtra. Recent additions include the brand’s 34th showroom in Chiplun, inaugurated by actor and television presenter Aadesh Bandekar, extending its reach within the Konkan region.
Earlier in 2026, the jeweller also opened its relocated Ratnagiri flagship, introducing a larger retail format with dedicated sections for Maharashtrian gold jewellery, diamonds and bridal collections. At that launch, Ashish Pethe, Partner, Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers, outlined the company’s focus on bringing the product choice and retail experience associated with metropolitan markets closer to regional customers.
The new Panvel address adds to these developments, continuing the brand’s expansion while carrying its established jewellery heritage into another retail setting.
