Vega Jewellers brought Vijayawada together for a memorable Navratri with its Raaga Dandiya Utsav 2.0, blending traditional dance and music with an exclusive festive jewellery display. The event highlighted how luxury houses use cultural celebrations to engage communities and build lasting connections beyond the showroom

Vijayawada: Vega Jewellers organised ‘Raaga Dandiya Utsav 2.0’ at SS Convention Hall on MG Road in Vijayawada, bringing together families, women and young participants for an evening of traditional dance, music and festive celebrations. Held as part of Devi Sharannavaratri, the event combined cultural activities with jewellery showcases, strengthening the retailer’s engagement with the local community.

The celebrations began with a traditional aarti and tilak ceremony, welcoming guests into an atmosphere reflecting the cultural significance of Navratri. Shri Raghurama Krishna Raju, Deputy Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, attended the event as Chief Guest.

The programme featured energetic dance performances by Uday Master and his team, known for their association with Bigg Boss, alongside music by two DJs and traditional Punjabi dhol performers. The combination of Dandiya, live entertainment and festive music encouraged participation from attendees across different age groups.

Alongside the cultural programme, Vega Jewellers presented a curated selection of festive jewellery, including statement gold pieces, antique-finished ornaments, uncut Polki sets and traditional temple jewellery. The displays highlighted designs suited to Navratri celebrations and the upcoming wedding season, integrating jewellery presentation into the broader festive experience.

The venue also featured interactive attractions, including traditional bangle stalls, food and mocktail counters, face-painting activities, festive competitions and dedicated photo booths. These elements created opportunities for visitors to participate in activities beyond the main dance performances, making the event a community-focused celebration.

Commenting on the initiative, Naveen Vanama, Managing Director of Vega Jewellers, said Navratri represents devotion, tradition and togetherness. He explained that Raaga Dandiya Utsav 2.0 was organised to provide families and young people in Vijayawada with a shared platform to celebrate their cultural heritage while strengthening community relationships.

Sudhakar Vanama, Executive Director of Vega Jewellers, said the event brought together traditional Dandiya performances, music and interactive activities to create an engaging festive experience. He highlighted the importance of encouraging participation among women and younger audiences while maintaining a connection with regional cultural traditions.

The initiative reflects the growing role of experiential marketing in jewellery retail, where brands are extending customer engagement beyond conventional showroom interactions. Cultural events provide retailers with opportunities to connect with local audiences through shared experiences while introducing jewellery collections in settings associated with celebrations and personal milestones.

By combining festive entertainment with curated jewellery displays, Vega Jewellers positioned Raaga Dandiya Utsav 2.0 as both a community celebration and a brand engagement initiative. The event highlights how regional jewellery retailers are incorporating cultural traditions into their marketing strategies to build stronger relationships with customers beyond the point of purchase.
