Kozhikode: Nishka Momentous Jewellery has entered the Indian retail market with the opening of its flagship showroom on Mavoor Road, Kozhikode, marking the brand’s first domestic expansion after building its presence in the Middle East.
The showroom was inaugurated by actress Tamannaah Bhatia, who serves as the brand’s ambassador in the Middle East. Ahead of the public opening, Nishka hosted a private preview at The Raviz Kadavu, attended by business leaders, corporate guests and media representatives.
The launch was led by the leadership of Morickap Group, the parent company behind Nishka Momentous Jewellery, including Chairman Nishin Thaslim C.M. and Executive Director Najeeb Musliarakath.
A key feature of the new showroom is the brand’s transparent pricing approach, with making charges displayed directly on product price tags, allowing customers to view pricing details upfront.
The Kozhikode store brings together Middle Eastern design influences with South Indian jewellery preferences. Its diamond portfolio includes statement bridal pieces alongside the ‘Wear It Light’ collection, designed in 14KT gold for everyday wear. The gold section features traditional 22KT Kerala-inspired designs for weddings and festive occasions, alongside more minimal 18KT jewellery aimed at contemporary consumers.
Nishka Momentous Jewellery was established in 2023, with its first outlet at Karama Centre in Dubai. The brand subsequently expanded across the UAE, with showrooms in locations including Al Barsha, Hamdan Street, Musaffah and Safari Mall.
The jewellery business operates under Morickap Group, which has roots in Wayanad and a presence across hospitality, resorts and property development.
The brand has also associated with film personalities including Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vidya Balan for earlier Middle East events.
Following its Kozhikode debut, Nishka plans further expansion in India, with Thalassery and Bengaluru identified among its next locations. The company has also outlined a long-term ambition to build a network of 100 showrooms globally by 2040.
