The name ‘Vanraaj’ means "King of the Forest," and the collection takes its inspiration from the calm strength and confidence of nature. Instead of going for flashy or over-the-top designs, the creators went with a clean, grounded look built to highlight a man's individual style.
Rather than making the clothes first and adding accessories as an afterthought, the team built the outfits and the gold pieces together from scratch. Because of that shared focus, the jewellery feels like a natural part of the clothing rather than an extra add-on. Heavy silhouettes and hand-finished animal features run throughout the line, mixing traditional techniques with clean, modern cuts. The goal was to build a look rooted in character and self-expression instead of heavy ornamentation.
The collection includes three-dimensional animal designs. Skilled craftspeople worked to bring realistic wildlife shapes to life, particularly apex predators like tigers. These details show up across several key pieces, including heavy medallions, statement pendants, and thick gold rings that carry intricate geometric patterns.
The jewellery also steps directly onto the clothing itself. Custom buttons made from precious metals act as rich focal points down the front of Saggar Mehra’s tailored sherwanis and bandhgalas. Meanwhile, naturalistic pins and brooches rest along lapels and collars to complete the look.
The material choices bring plenty of depth to each piece. Classic yellow gold forms the backbone of the collection, making up the main frames, pendant bodies, and warm accents like animal eyes. A special sub-series switches to polished white gold, specifically chosen to capture the light and detail of tiger features. For extra contrast and color, the designers set high-clarity diamonds alongside deep blue sapphires throughout the lineup.
This collaboration connects Nipun Khanna’s century-old Delhi jewellery heritage—which dates back through historic trade hubs like Chandni Chowk, Connaught Place, and Chanakyapuri—with Saggar Mehra’s crisp, modern tailoring. By bringing high-end jewellery directly into ceremonial menswear, ‘Vanraaj’ sets a strong new benchmark for modern men's luxury.
