Meralda Jewels has officially opened its new flagship store on Abu Dhabi's Hamdan Street, with Indian actress Mrunal Thakur leading the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The inauguration marks a major milestone in the jeweller's global roadmap to establish 50 locations across India, the GCC, and international markets

Abu Dhabi: Meralda Jewels opened its newest flagship showroom on Hamdan Street, Abu Dhabi, on 5 September 2026, with actress and brand ambassador Mrunal Thakur inaugurating the store.

Located on the ground floor of Golden Falcon Tower, the showroom marks another step in the brand’s international expansion strategy across India, the GCC and North America.

Speaking at the launch, Abdul Jaleel Edathil, Chairman, Meralda Jewels, said the Abu Dhabi store is an important part of the company’s plan to build a network of 50 locations across key global markets. He added that Hamdan Street was selected to serve both local residents and the city’s large expatriate community.

Mrunal Thakur said the collection reflects a balance between traditional Indian influences and contemporary design, making the jewellery relevant to modern consumers.

The new showroom showcases a broad assortment aimed at the upcoming festive and wedding seasons, including bridal necklaces, chokers, certified solitaire rings, lightweight daily-wear gold jewellery and customised gemstone pieces with pearls.

Jaseel Muhammed Edathil, Managing Director – International Business, said the company is also leveraging regional trade frameworks such as the UAE–India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) as it expands its international presence.

Following the Abu Dhabi launch, Meralda Jewels is planning further growth across the region, with new stores expected in Qatar and Saudi Arabia, before exploring additional opportunities in Western luxury markets.

With the new flagship, the brand is strengthening its GCC footprint while positioning itself around bridal jewellery, contemporary design and cross-border retail expansion.
