Bhubaneswar: Khimji Jewellers has launched ‘Guru Vandana’, a social media campaign encouraging people to recognise and celebrate individuals who have guided, supported and shaped their lives.
Introduced ahead of Guru Purnima on Wednesday, 29th July 2026, the campaign invites participants to share personal accounts of teachers, mentors, parents, coaches or other individuals whose encouragement and guidance had a meaningful impact on their journey. Guru Purnima is traditionally observed as an occasion to express respect and gratitude towards teachers and spiritual guides.
At the centre of the campaign is the question: “Who is the one person you still thank for the life you have today?”
Through its official social media platform, Khimji Jewellers has asked followers to write about the person who believed in them, guided them through an important stage or helped them move forward during a challenging period.
Participants can submit their stories in the comments section of the campaign post. The brand has said that some of the most heartfelt entries will be selected, with the gurus featured in those stories receiving special recognition and thoughtful gifts from Khimji Jewellers.
The campaign broadens the meaning of a guru beyond a formal classroom or spiritual setting. It acknowledges that guidance can also come from family members, professional mentors, senior colleagues, coaches and individuals whose support may have quietly influenced another person’s choices and achievements.
By asking customers to share real experiences, ‘Guru Vandana’ moves beyond a conventional festive greeting and introduces a participatory format centred on personal storytelling. The campaign allows followers to publicly acknowledge people whose contributions may not always receive formal recognition.
The initiative also places the individuals behind these stories at the centre of the communication. Rather than focusing solely on the participant, the campaign seeks to recognise the mentor whose guidance, trust or encouragement helped shape that person’s life.
The selected stories are expected to reflect different interpretations of mentorship, from teachers who inspired educational ambitions to parents who provided direction, coaches who built confidence and professional guides who opened new opportunities.
Through the campaign, Khimji Jewellers is using the occasion of Guru Purnima to create a conversation around gratitude, influence and the long-term role of mentorship. The format also encourages followers to engage with the brand through experiences that are emotional and personally relevant.
The campaign is being promoted with hashtags including #GuruVandana, #GuruPurnima, #MyGuru, #Teacher, #Mentor and #ThankYouGuru.
