Odisha: Khimji Jewellers is bringing together jewellery, tradition and childhood creativity through its ‘Chhota Kalakaar’ initiative, inviting children and families to take part in a special drawing and colouring activity on 13th September.
Khimji Jewellers has announced ‘Chhota Kalakaar’, a family-focused creative initiative being presented in association with the jeweller’s Ashta Vinayak Collection.
Scheduled for 13th September 2026, the activity invites children to participate in a drawing and colouring experience centred around Lord Ganesha, combining festive expression with an interactive in-store experience.
With the theme of “little hands, big hearts and lots of imagination”, the initiative is designed as an inclusive family event, with children, parents and grandparents encouraged to participate. Young visitors will be able to interpret Ganesha through their own artistic imagination while engaging with the brand in a setting beyond the conventional jewellery purchase.
The initiative also reflects the increasing use of experiential retail by jewellery brands, particularly during the festive season. Rather than limiting communication to product showcases, retailers are increasingly building occasions around culture, community and family participation to create deeper customer engagement.
By connecting the activity with its Ashta Vinayak Collection, Khimji Jewellers is also reinforcing the cultural narrative surrounding the range. Ganesha-inspired jewellery has traditionally held significance across gifting, festive buying and devotional jewellery categories, making the creative activation particularly relevant ahead of the festive period.
Visitors have been invited to register for the programme and participate at Khimji Jewellers showrooms, with registration details being communicated through the brand’s social media channels.
For Khimji Jewellers, ‘Chhota Kalakaar’ represents a move towards experience-led jewellery retail, using art and family participation to strengthen the relationship between traditional motifs, jewellery and the next generation of consumers.
