Kerala: Kalyan Jewellers has reported a strong second quarter for FY2027, with consolidated revenue growth exceeding 26% year-on-year, supported by robust momentum in India, steady international growth and a sharp rise in revenue from its lifestyle jewellery brand, Candere.

The company’s India operations grew approximately 27% during Q2 FY2027 compared with the same quarter last year. Growth was driven by healthy demand across key markets, with same-store sales growth of around 20% despite a high base in the previous year, when all nine days of Navratri fell within the second quarter.

Kalyan Jewellers said it remains encouraged by the strength of consumer demand and operating performance across its domestic network.

The quarter also saw the launch of the company’s first regional brand, Akshaya Thanga Maligai (ATM), in Chennai in August. According to the company, the brand recorded strong revenue traction during its first 40-plus days of operations.

Building on the initial response, Kalyan plans to open four additional ATM showrooms under the franchise model during the current financial year. Two of these are scheduled for the ongoing quarter and the remaining two for the fourth quarter.

International operations recorded approximately 18% revenue growth during Q2 FY2027. Within the Middle East, revenue increased by around 12%, driven entirely by same-store sales growth. International markets contributed approximately 11% of consolidated revenue during the quarter.

Candere, Kalyan Jewellers’ lifestyle jewellery brand, emerged as another key growth driver, recording approximately 64% revenue growth compared with the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Store expansion also continued during the quarter. Kalyan Jewellers launched 12 Kalyan showrooms in India, with a net addition of 11 stores, along with nine Candere showrooms in India and one Kalyan showroom in the UK.

As of 30th September 2026, the group operated 546 showrooms across India and international markets. This included 365 Kalyan stores in India, 38 in the Middle East, two in the US, two in the UK and 138 Candere stores.

The quarter also saw progress on the company’s balance sheet. Kalyan completed the sale of one of two identified non-core real estate assets for approximately ₹86 crore. The second asset, valued at around ₹16 crore, is expected to be sold during the ongoing quarter.

The company also said its non-GML debt had been reduced to zero during the period.

Looking ahead, Kalyan Jewellers said it remains upbeat about the upcoming festive and wedding season and is prepared with new collections, marketing campaigns and showroom launches.

The company noted that the operating metrics disclosed for the quarter are subject to a limited review by its statutory auditors. A more detailed update will follow after approval of the quarter ended 30 September 2026 by the board of directors. Revenue figures cited by the company refer to revenue from sale of goods, excluding bullion.
