Mumbai: Jaipur Gems has expanded its retail presence in Mumbai with the opening of a new flagship showroom on Turner Road in Bandra West. The launch marks the heritage jewellery house’s seventh standalone boutique worldwide and its second location in Mumbai, strengthening its focus on bespoke high jewellery, rare gemstones and traditional Indian craftsmanship.
The new flagship joins Jaipur Gems’ established showroom on Hughes Road in South Mumbai, alongside its boutiques in New Delhi, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Located in one of Mumbai’s prominent luxury shopping destinations, the Bandra outlet aims to bring the brand’s high jewellery collections and personalised services closer to customers across the city’s western suburbs.
Led by Siddhartha Sacheti, CEO and Creative Director of Jaipur Gems, the showroom has been conceived as an experiential retail space inspired by the concept of a jewellery box. Its interiors feature soft lighting, sculpted water lily motifs and deep burgundy accents influenced by Imperial Roman aesthetics, creating an intimate setting for high jewellery consultations and bespoke purchases.
The flagship showcases statement jewellery featuring rare gemstones, elaborate settings and intricate craftsmanship. Among the highlighted creations is a floral necklace incorporating more than 93 carats of rubies, alongside an elaborate diamond bib necklace set with over 1,000 individual stones. The assortment also includes pieces featuring sugarloaf-cut emeralds sourced from Afghanistan’s Panjshir region.
Alongside its high jewellery creations, Jaipur Gems is presenting contemporary interpretations of traditional Indian designs. Its Nuvo Polki and Jadau collections explore lighter settings, gemstone colour and geometric forms, offering a modern approach to established jewellery-making techniques.
The showroom also features minimalist Navratan jewellery, the Desert Rose concept collection and the brand’s Sunlight Amber luxury eyewear range, extending its design portfolio beyond conventional high jewellery categories.
Established in October 1974 by Padam Sacheti, Jaipur Gems traces its jewellery-making heritage across six generations to Ajmer, Rajasthan. The family-led business has developed its reputation through gemstone expertise, traditional goldsmithing and bespoke jewellery creation.
The company maintains in-house ateliers supported by approximately 150 gemstone artisans and 100 gold craftsmen, including specialists in traditional Kundan and Jadau techniques. This manufacturing expertise allows the brand to retain control over design development, gemstone selection and craftsmanship while creating customised pieces for its clientele.
The Bandra opening reflects Jaipur Gems’ emphasis on personalised luxury retail, where craftsmanship, exclusivity and the customer experience remain central to the brand’s positioning. By combining heritage techniques with contemporary design and an intimate showroom environment, the jeweller aims to strengthen its appeal among collectors, bridal customers and buyers seeking distinctive, heirloom-quality jewellery.
The new flagship represents another step in Jaipur Gems’ retail development, bringing its longstanding craftsmanship heritage into a contemporary luxury shopping environment while expanding its presence in Mumbai’s premium jewellery market.
