Bhubaneswar: Chirag Jewellers is bringing its jewellery collections to Bhubaneswar for the first time through an exclusive showcase in collaboration with VSS Living, a local lifestyle community founded by women entrepreneurs Vedika Khandelwal, Shhruti Agarwal and Shradha Agarwal. The event aims to bring the brand’s luxury jewellery creations closer to buyers in Odisha.
With over 50 years of legacy, Chirag Jewellers carries a rich heritage in fine jewellery craftsmanship. Founded in 1972 by Rameshbhai Shah, the brand began as a small door-to-door jewellery venture in Kolkata’s Bada Bazar. Over the decades, it evolved into an established jewellery house, now led by the next generation — Rakesh Shah and Samir Shah — from its flagship showroom on Pretoria Street, Kolkata.
As part of the Bhubaneswar showcase, Samir Shah, Partner at Chirag Jewellers, will personally interact with local customers and industry members instead of limiting the event to a formal brand presentation. On 21 August, he will participate in an interactive session hosted by the Indian Chamber of Commerce Women’s Entrepreneurship Council (INWEC) at Novotel Bhubaneswar.
The session will focus on topics including building a legacy family jewellery business, the craftsmanship behind fine jewellery and the changing landscape of luxury retail in emerging markets such as Bhubaneswar.
The showcase will feature a wide range of jewellery collections designed for wedding buyers, collectors and modern consumers. Highlights include elaborate bridal sets featuring uncut Polki diamonds, emeralds, rubies and pearls, along with traditional hand-carved gold jewellery. The collection will also include contemporary diamond jewellery, certified diamond chokers, everyday wear designs and solitaire pieces created to complement both Indian and Western styles.
With Bhubaneswar witnessing growing economic activity, a strong wedding jewellery market and increasing demand for premium retail experiences, Chirag Jewellers aims to strengthen its connection with customers in Odisha through this showcase.
The initiative reflects the growing trend of established jewellery houses taking their craftsmanship and heritage beyond traditional markets to connect with emerging consumer destinations across India.
