JAGS Marks 30th Edition, Celebrating Jaipur’s Natural Gemstone Trade

The 30th edition of the Jewellers Association Gemstone Show (JAGS) opened in Jaipur on 26 October 2026, showcasing over 500 varieties of natural gemstones across 200-plus booths. Organised by the Jewellers Association Jaipur, the one-day B2B exhibition brings together gemstone manufacturers, traders and buyers, strengthening Jaipur’s position as a major hub for rough and cut gemstone sourcing

Jaipur: The 30th edition of the Jewellers Association Gemstone Show (JAGS) was inaugurated at the Rajasthan International Centre (RIC), Jhalana, Jaipur, bringing together gemstone manufacturers, traders, cutters, brokers and jewellery industry professionals for a dedicated one-day sourcing exhibition. Organised by the Jewellers Association Jaipur, the milestone edition features more than 500 varieties of natural gemstones across over 200 exhibition booths, strengthening the city's position as an important centre for the rough and cut gemstone trade.

The inauguration ceremony commenced with traditional lamp-lighting and ribbon-cutting proceedings in the presence of industry leaders, dignitaries and trade representatives. Shri Sunil Kothari attended as Chief Guest, while celebrity astrologer, palmist and numerologist Surbhi A. Gupta was present as Guest of Honour. The ceremonial opening marked the beginning of the exhibition's 30th edition, bringing attention to Jaipur's longstanding gemstone craftsmanship and trading heritage.

The exhibition is dedicated to natural, earth-mined gemstones, offering buyers access to rough, cut and polished stones within a single trade environment. Its product profile includes a broad selection of coloured gemstones, ranging from rough material intended for cutting and processing to finished stones suitable for jewellery manufacturing and design.

This year's edition has expanded its exhibition infrastructure with the addition of a new hall, increasing the show floor to more than 200 booths. The expansion follows growing exhibitor interest and aims to accommodate a wider selection of gemstone suppliers, manufacturers and trading businesses.

Unlike exhibitions that combine finished jewellery, accessories and multiple retail categories, JAGS concentrates on the gemstone sourcing segment. The format enables jewellery manufacturers, designers, wholesalers and traders to engage directly with suppliers, examine available inventories and explore sourcing opportunities for upcoming production requirements.

The event also draws participation from domestic and international trade markets. Buyers from major Indian jewellery centres, including Mumbai and Delhi, are among the audiences targeted by the organisers, alongside international trade representatives from markets such as Dubai, Germany and Bangkok.

Raju Mangodiwala, President of the Jewellers Association Jaipur, highlighted the importance of the 30th edition in strengthening the city's position within the natural gemstone trade. He emphasised the association's focus on connecting authentic gemstone suppliers with manufacturers and buyers while supporting Jaipur's established expertise in gemstone cutting, processing and trading.

The exhibition also reflects the changing requirements of jewellery manufacturers, particularly as demand for coloured gemstones continues to influence bridal, festive and contemporary jewellery collections. Access to different gemstone varieties, calibrated stones and specialised cutting expertise remains important for manufacturers developing collections across multiple design and price categories.

Prakash Kumar Baid, Convenor of JAGS, identified the exhibition as a platform for strengthening domestic and international gemstone sourcing relationships. He highlighted the show's efforts to bring established suppliers, traders and buyers together, enabling direct business interactions and opportunities for long-term commercial partnerships.

The 30th edition is supported by RMC Gems as Prime Sponsor and Gemological Science International (GSI) as Co-Sponsor. The organising committee includes Raju Mangodiwala as President, Ajay Godha as Honorary Secretary and Prakash Kumar Baid as Convenor.

Ajay Godha, Honorary Secretary of the Jewellers Association Jaipur, highlighted the exhibition's expanded scale and its offering of more than 500 natural gemstone varieties. The additional exhibition space is intended to support a broader supplier presence during a period when manufacturers are preparing inventories and collections for festive and wedding-related demand.

Jaipur's gemstone industry has developed through generations of specialised cutting, polishing, carving and trading expertise. The city serves as an important sourcing and processing centre for coloured gemstones, connecting international rough-stone suppliers with Indian manufacturers, designers and jewellery exporters.

JAGS builds on this established ecosystem by providing a dedicated business-to-business platform for gemstone sourcing. Its focus on natural stones also creates opportunities for manufacturers and traders to examine material quality, compare available varieties and establish direct relationships with suppliers.

The one-day exhibition is being held from 10 am to 7 pm on 26 October 2026, with trade visitors able to explore gemstone inventories, connect with exhibitors and participate in sourcing discussions at the Rajasthan International Centre.
