Chennai: Annai Jewellers is marking Sri Krishna Jayanti with the return of its annual ‘Kutti Gokulam’ celebration, inviting families across Tamil Nadu to dress children as Lord Krishna or Radha and visit its showrooms during the festive period.
Open to children up to 10 years of age, the initiative will culminate in in-store celebrations on 4 September from 6 PM onwards. Parents can pre-register their children, while every participant arriving in costume will receive a small gift from the jeweller.
Alongside the cultural programme, Annai Jewellers is highlighting jewellery suited to younger families and festive dressing. Its ‘Chellams’ collection includes 22KT gold studs, baby rings, silver thandai, golusu and Balakrishna-inspired charms.
The festive assortment also includes antique-finish chokers, long harams, vanki, traditional waistbands, silver Krishna idols and pooja lamps, giving shoppers a mix of jewellery and devotional gifting options around Krishna Jayanti.
The retailer is also promoting its savings programmes, including Father Golden Future and Magic Gold, which are positioned around advance gold purchase planning and selected benefits on value addition and wastage charges.
Annai Jewellers traces its roots to 1921, when C. Paulraj Nadar began a small family business. The group later entered gold lending before opening its flagship jewellery retail store in Thoothukudi in 2008.
Today, the brand operates six showrooms and more than 15 savings centres, with BIS hallmarked jewellery forming a key part of its retail proposition.
