Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers Marks International Yoga Day With Community Wellness Initiative

Agartala: Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers commemorated the 12th International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2026, by organising yoga and meditation sessions across its retail network in Tripura.

The initiative brought together employees, corporate associates and members of the local community for guided yoga, pranayama and meditation sessions aimed at promoting physical well-being, mental wellness and a balanced lifestyle.

The activities were conducted at the brand’s flagship locations in Agartala and Swarnagram, reflecting the company’s belief that business growth should be supported by employee well-being and stronger community engagement.

Led by Directors Arpita Saha and Rupak Saha, the programme highlighted the company’s long-standing philosophy of integrating organisational growth with social responsibility and holistic wellness.

For Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers, the initiative extends beyond a one-day celebration. As a jewellery house with over six decades of heritage, the company views wellness, community participation and sustainable values as an important part of its corporate culture.

The sessions encouraged participants to adopt simple daily wellness practices through breathing exercises, restorative yoga and guided meditation, helping promote focus, mindfulness and healthier lifestyles.

The brand has built its reputation around handcrafted gold and diamond jewellery while preserving traditional Indian craftsmanship. Today, it continues to balance heritage-inspired collections with contemporary jewellery designed for modern consumers.

Speaking during the programme, the management reiterated that the company’s long-term vision extends beyond jewellery craftsmanship.

“Our corporate philosophy has always balanced a rich legacy with the pursuit of excellence. True excellence cannot remain within the walls of a showroom—it must also contribute positively to the people and communities that support the industry,” the management shared.

The International Yoga Day initiative reflects a growing trend within the jewellery industry, where brands are increasingly investing in employee well-being, community engagement and responsible business practices alongside retail and product expansion.
