New Delhi: The Natural Diamond Council (NDC) has announced the launch of World Diamond Day on 8 April, an initiative to be celebrated annually from this year onwards. The aim is to celebrate natural diamonds globally, bringing together the entire ecosystem from miners and manufacturers to retailers and consumers.
NDC positions the day as a global celebration by not limiting it to an industry campaign. The core idea is to rekindle the emotional connection that diamonds bring to people, encouraging their representation in their lives.
NDC has dedicated a customised platform to encourage participants for World Diamond Day, inviting users from industry professionals to consumers to share their personal stories online. The initiative also encourages the use of hashtags #WorldDiamondDay and #NaturalDiamonds, boosting user unity across the globe.
In this context, NDC plans to understand the significance of diamonds beyond the industry, appreciating consumers’ personal attachment to natural stones. There are no restrictions for story sharing; this gradually develops a broader spectrum for larger participation
