Kerala: Bhima Jewellery celebrated National Doctors’ Day with a multi-city appreciation campaign dedicated to recognising the commitment, compassion and service of healthcare professionals. The initiative combined community outreach with exclusive showroom benefits, reinforcing the brand’s long-standing relationship with families across South India.
Fresh from celebrating its centenary, the 101-year-old jewellery house used the occasion to honour doctors and medical professionals through personalised interactions, special retail offers and public appreciation campaigns across its extensive showroom network.
Led by Chairman Dr. B. Govindan and Managing Director Suhas M. S., the campaign reflected the brand’s philosophy of recognising professions built on precision, dedication and trust.
Commenting on the initiative, Suhas M. S., Managing Director, Bhima Jewellery, said, “Doctors are the true gems of society. While a jeweller transforms precious metals and gemstones into timeless creations, healthcare professionals dedicate their lives to preserving and enriching human life.”
The campaign was built around the message:
“Doctors give us the gift of health. We give them the gift of sparkle.”
Beyond digital campaigns, Bhima Jewellery extended the celebration through on-ground initiatives across South India. Showroom teams visited hospitals and clinics to personally thank doctors and healthcare professionals with greetings, sweets and commemorative gifts.
The brand also launched a series of exclusive offers for healthcare professionals and hospital employees across its showroom network.
The campaign included a 35% discount on making charges across selected gold jewellery, certified diamond jewellery and precious gemstone collections. Healthcare professionals were also offered an additional 5% discount on presenting a valid institutional identity card.
To further support customers amid elevated gold prices, Bhima Jewellery extended its 0% deduction old gold exchange programme, enabling doctors and healthcare workers to upgrade their jewellery collections with greater value and convenience.
The initiative reflects Bhima Jewellery’s broader strategy of combining meaningful community engagement with customer-focused retail programmes.
Founded in 1925 by K. Lakshminarayana Bhattar, popularly known as Bhima Bhattar, the company revolutionised jewellery retail by introducing ready-made jewellery at a time when most ornaments were produced only on custom order. During World War II, the brand strengthened customer trust by maintaining its commitment to 22-carat gold purity, establishing a reputation that continues to define the company today.
Over the past century, Bhima Jewellery has expanded into one of South India's leading jewellery retailers with more than 116 showrooms across India and the UAE. Alongside its traditional bridal and heritage collections, the brand today offers certified diamond jewellery, Navaratna collections, solitaire jewellery and its lightweight Yuva collection designed for contemporary lifestyles.
The Doctors’ Day initiative also highlights a wider trend within organised jewellery retail, where brands are increasingly moving beyond conventional seasonal promotions to build stronger emotional connections through purpose-driven campaigns.
By combining genuine appreciation with meaningful customer benefits, Bhima Jewellery has demonstrated how heritage brands can continue to remain relevant while strengthening trust, community relationships and long-term customer loyalty.
