India: Lab-grown diamond jewellery brand Aurya Diamonds has announced a collaboration with luxury couture house Shantnu & Nikhil to introduce Becoming, a jewellery collection created exclusively for the designers’ latest ceremonial and bridal couture line.

The partnership brings together contemporary bridal fashion and personalised jewellery, with both brands focusing on creating modern heirloom pieces that combine craftsmanship, design and emotional value.

Designed to accompany the Becoming couture collection, the jewellery line reflects a shared vision of celebrating individuality while preserving the timeless significance of wedding jewellery. The collaboration places emphasis on jewellery that can be customised and passed down across generations, allowing personal stories to become part of each piece.

Founded in 2000 by brothers Shantanu and Nikhil Mehra, Shantnu & Nikhil has established itself as one of India’s leading couture labels, recognised for redefining bridal fashion through structured silhouettes, military-inspired tailoring and contemporary draping.

Aurya Diamonds, launched in early 2026 by Shikha Dadha and Saad Salman, focuses exclusively on premium CVD Type IIA lab-grown diamonds. The brand has positioned itself around design-led, sustainable luxury by offering high-quality diamonds that are optically, chemically and physically identical to natural diamonds.

A key feature of the Becoming collection is its customisation. Instead of offering standard jewellery sets, clients can personalise individual design elements, including selecting specific diamond cuts such as heart-shaped stones, allowing each piece to reflect personal style and preference.

The jewellery combines Aurya’s white, pink and yellow lab-grown diamonds with Shantnu & Nikhil’s signature couture language, creating collections that complement structured jackets, corsets and contemporary bridal drapes.

Despite the bold visual appearance of many of the bridal necklaces and ceremonial pieces, the collection has been engineered to remain lightweight and comfortable through modern jewellery-setting techniques.

The use of lab-grown diamonds also provides greater design flexibility for customers. By reducing the overall cost of the diamond component, buyers have the opportunity to choose larger carat sizes or more intricate jewellery designs while remaining within their wedding budgets.

The Becoming collection will be available strictly through private appointments. Customers can explore the jewellery and receive personalised styling consultations at selected Shantnu & Nikhil flagship boutiques in Delhi, Mumbai (Kala Ghoda) and Hyderabad (Banjara Hills).

The collaboration reflects a growing trend within India's luxury jewellery market, where fashion houses and jewellery brands are increasingly joining forces to create integrated bridal experiences. As younger consumers seek customisation, sustainability and design-led luxury, partnerships such as Aurya Diamonds and Shantnu & Nikhil are redefining how contemporary wedding jewellery is presented and experienced.
