Puducherry: Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers (VBJ) brought its 126-year legacy of craftsmanship to Puducherry with an exclusive two-day jewellery exhibition held on September 23rd and 24th at Accord Puducherry.

Hosted at the hotel’s Crystal Hall, the exhibition presented customers with an extensive selection of VBJ creations spanning gold, silver, diamonds, platinum, solitaires and precious stones. The showcase featured necklaces, bangles, earrings, rings, chains and gemstone jewellery, ranging from intricately crafted bridal pieces and statement designs to contemporary jewellery created for everyday wear.

Through the exhibition, VBJ sought to offer jewellery buyers in Puducherry an opportunity to experience a broader cross-section of its portfolio while engaging directly with the brand’s design and craftsmanship heritage.

The assortment reflected the jeweller’s approach of combining traditional craftsmanship with evolving consumer preferences, particularly as buyers increasingly seek jewellery that can move across bridal, occasion and everyday wardrobes.

Customers visiting the exhibition were also offered a special exchange benefit of ₹125 extra on old gold, adding a retail incentive to the two-day showcase.

Speaking about the initiative, Amarendran Vummidi, Managing Partner, VBJ, said, “At VBJ, we believe that jewellery is deeply personal. It marks milestones, celebrates relationships and often becomes a cherished part of a family’s story.”

He added that the exhibition was aimed at bringing the company’s collections closer to customers in Puducherry while enabling them to discover jewellery suited to their individual tastes and occasions.

“We look forward to welcoming customers to an experience that combines choice, craftsmanship and the personalised attention that has always been central to VBJ,” Vummidi said.

The Puducherry exhibition forms part of VBJ’s efforts to take its jewellery collections beyond its established retail touchpoints and engage consumers through curated, experience-led showcases.

For heritage jewellery brands, such exhibitions are increasingly becoming an important format for reaching customers in emerging luxury and premium jewellery markets while allowing consumers to experience craftsmanship, product variety and personalised service in a more focused setting.
