Visakhapatnam: Tribe Amrapali has expanded its travel retail presence with the opening of its largest airport store to date at Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport. Located in the Domestic Departure Terminal, the new outlet marks the brand’s 42nd location as it continues to strengthen its presence across high-footfall transit destinations in India.
Designed for travellers seeking quick gifting options or personal jewellery additions during their journeys, the new store focuses on accessible, lightweight and contemporary designs. Moving beyond traditional heavy jewellery formats, the outlet offers a mix of everyday wear and heritage-inspired collections, including statement silver earrings, stackable rings, layered gold-plated chains and ready-to-gift jewellery sets.
The store features several signature collections from Tribe Amrapali’s portfolio. These include the Pachranga Collection, inspired by Jaipur’s City Palace and the traditional five-colour flag, featuring detailed enamel work and lotus-inspired motifs. The outlet also showcases the Masaba x Tribe collaboration, blending contemporary designs with elements of Indian folk art, along with festive collections such as Pravya and Meher, featuring vintage-inspired chokers, floral bangles and pearl-embellished earrings.
Commenting on the expansion, Akanksha Arora, CEO, Tribe Amrapali, highlighted the evolving role of airports as more than just transit spaces. She noted that travellers are increasingly discovering new brands and making quick purchases during their journeys. According to her, Visakhapatnam’s cultural richness and growing passenger movement made it an ideal location for the brand’s latest retail expansion.
Tribe Amrapali began as an online jewellery platform in March 2013, created as a contemporary and accessible extension of the Amrapali legacy. Over the years, the brand has built its identity around silver, gold-plated and fashion jewellery inspired by India’s diverse cultural heritage.
The Visakhapatnam airport launch reflects Tribe Amrapali’s broader strategy of expanding beyond traditional high-street stores and malls, bringing its collections closer to regional and international travellers through new-age retail formats.
