Sonam Kapoor turned heads at Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla's 40th anniversary celebration in Mumbai, in a custom ivory chikankari ensemble from the label. She completed the look with a set of diamond and pearl jewellery from Iconic Jewels, the brand's newly launched fine jewellery line.
The Look
At the label's Mubarak Baug flagship, Sonam wore a custom, 42 panel angrakha style kurta in ivory chikankari, its wrap silhouette built from densely worked embroidery panels. A matching dupatta with a sequined, gota patti border draped over one shoulder, keeping the look tonal and letting the embroidery take over
The Brand Spotlight
Iconic Jewels marks Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla’s debut in the world of fine jewellery, launched in 2026 to commemorate 40 years since its founding in 1986. The collection spans four distinctive ranges: Abad, Roshnai, Rudra and Taweez each translating the label’s maximalist, craft-led aesthetic into gold, diamonds and colored stones.
The collection made its debut at the design house’s 40th anniversary celebration at Mubarak Baug, with Sonam Kapoor among the first to wear the new line.
The Jewellery Decode
The jewellery centered on a pair of statement diamond and pearl earrings from Iconic Jewels: a diamond stud at the top, delicate chains draped along the ear, and a dense, pave set heart shaped pendant finished with a pearl tassel.
A single oval diamond cluster ring was the only other piece in play, its halo of stones catching the light against the matte chikankari. With no necklace in the mix, the earrings stayed at the focal point; their drape picking up on the same intricate detailing worked into the kurta.
It worked because the jewellery matched the outfit's restraint instead of competing with it, an all ivory, all diamond palette that let the craftsmanship in cloth and in stone, do the talking.
