Mumbai: Palmonas has introduced a new Rakhi jewellery range with the aim of transforming the traditional festive thread into a lasting everyday accessory. The brand’s latest initiative focuses on evolving the meaning of Rakshabandhan gifting — moving from a one-day celebration towards jewellery pieces that can become part of personal style long after the festival.
Founded by Pallavi Mohadikar and Dr. Amol Patwari, along with actor Shraddha Kapoor as brand ambassador and co-founder, Palmonas is positioning the collection around the idea of wearable keepsakes that combine emotional significance with contemporary design.
The brand’s approach reflects a broader shift in festive gifting, where consumers are increasingly looking for products that carry both sentiment and long-term usability. Instead of traditional Rakhis that are preserved only during the festival period, Palmonas aims to create pieces that can transition into everyday jewellery.
The Rakhi jewellery range includes both 18K gold-toned demi-fine designs and 925 sterling silver creations, combining festive symbolism with modern styling. The designs include contemporary interpretations of traditional motifs such as the Evil Eye, sacred symbols and personalised gifting formats.
Alongside individual Rakhi jewellery pieces, the brand has also introduced curated gifting options pairing Rakhis with coordinating jewellery pieces, allowing customers to create more personalised festive gifts.
Speaking about the idea behind the collection, Pallavi Mohadikar, CEO, Palmonas, shared that the objective was to create jewellery that sisters would continue wearing even after Rakshabandhan, turning a traditional symbol of affection into a meaningful everyday accessory.
Adding a lighter perspective to the campaign, Shraddha Kapoor highlighted the playful emotional exchange between siblings, where a stylish and thoughtful gift can become a memorable part of the Rakshabandhan celebration.
Through this initiative, Palmonas aims to redefine festive jewellery gifting by blending tradition, emotion and everyday wearability — creating pieces that represent sibling bonds while fitting seamlessly into modern lifestyles.
