Goa: Malabar Gold & Diamonds has strengthened its presence in Goa with the opening of a new showroom on St. Joaquim Road in Borda, Margao. The three-storey destination is the brand’s second-largest showroom in the state and houses what the company describes as its largest jewellery collection in the region.
The showroom was inaugurated by Digambar Kamat, Goa’s Minister for the Public Works Department, alongside Damu Naik, State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Filsar Babu, Regional Head for Karnataka and Goa at Malabar Gold & Diamonds, joined senior company executives and staff at the opening.
Spanning 7,839 square feet, the showroom combines contemporary interiors with spaces designed for a comfortable, personalised shopping experience. Its jewellery selection encompasses gold, certified diamonds, uncut diamonds, polki and gemstones, with collections catering to milestone celebrations, gifting and everyday wear.
Commenting on the opening, M P Ahammad, Chairman of Malabar Group, said the investment reflected the brand’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with customers in Goa. He described the state as an important market, noting that sustained customer support over the years had encouraged the company to expand its presence.
Ahammad added that the new showroom would bring together a broad choice of designs and clear quality standards, with an emphasis on making every purchase a reassuring experience.
Several of Malabar’s in-house jewellery brands feature within the new space. Mine presents diamond jewellery, while Era offers uncut diamond creations. Divine draws on traditional Indian designs, Ethnix showcases handcrafted jewellery, Precia focuses on gemstone pieces, and Viraaz brings together polki collections. Together, these brands give customers access to distinct design styles and jewellery-making traditions under one roof.
The retail offering is complemented by the company’s established quality and customer-service policies. According to Malabar, all gold jewellery at the showroom is BIS hallmarked with HUID, while all diamonds are certified. Its customer assurances include full value on gold and diamond exchanges, transparent pricing and lifetime free maintenance, alongside a commitment to responsibly sourced materials.
The Margao opening extends the brand’s investment in Goa, pairing a larger retail format with a comprehensive product portfolio and a focus on customer confidence.
Founded in 1993, Malabar Gold & Diamonds is the flagship enterprise of Malabar Group.
