Bengaluru: BlueStone Jewellery & Lifestyle Limited has appointed Amit Jain, Co-founder and CEO of CarDekho Group, as a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director, effective 14 September 2026. The appointment was approved at the company’s 15th Annual General Meeting, following the retirement of Sameer Dileep Nath, who did not seek re-appointment.
Jain’s appointment brings technology, digital commerce and platform-building experience to BlueStone’s board as the jewellery retailer continues to expand its omnichannel business. An IIT Delhi alumnus, Jain began his career at Tata Consultancy Services before spending nearly seven years with US technology company Trilogy. In 2007, he co-founded GirnarSoft with his brother Anurag Jain, which later developed into the CarDekho Group.
The board change comes as BlueStone continues to scale its physical retail network alongside its digital platform. The company added 12 stores in Q1 FY27, taking its network to 352 stores across 139 cities. It also serves more than 12,660 PIN codes, with a significant share of its stores located in Tier II and Tier III markets.
BlueStone reported Q1 FY27 revenue of about ₹737 crore, representing growth of around 49% year on year. The company also reported a ₹6 crore net profit, compared with a loss of ₹34.7 crore in the year-ago quarter, while same-store sales growth stood at 39%.
The appointment comes as BlueStone continues to build a business model combining digital discovery with an expanding network of physical stores. Its focus on design-led, everyday jewellery and an increasingly distributed retail footprint has positioned technology, customer experience and digital integration as important elements of its growth strategy.
With Jain joining the board, BlueStone adds experience from a technology-led consumer platform to its leadership structure at a time when the jewellery sector is increasingly integrating digital commerce, data, technology and physical retail.
