Arundhati Jewellers has officially crossed state borders with the launch of its 3, 500 sq. ft. flagship showroom on Camac Street, Kolkata. T he move marks the brand's strategic transition into a multi-state retail player

Kolkata: Arundhati Jewellers has expanded beyond its home market of Odisha with the opening of its first showroom in West Bengal on Camac Street, Kolkata, on 1 November 2026. Spanning 3,500 square feet, the new flagship marks a significant milestone in the retailer’s 26-year journey, establishing its presence in a second state as part of its broader regional expansion strategy.

The showroom was inaugurated in the presence of Brahmanand Meher, Founder and Managing Director of Arundhati Jewellers, alongside Odia actors Archita Sahu, the brand’s ambassador, and Shivani Sangeeta, as well as Bengali actor Koushani Mukherjee. The launch brought together personalities from both states, reflecting the cultural connection between Odisha and West Bengal.

Commenting on the expansion, Meher highlighted the shared cultural traditions and jewellery preferences of the two states as important considerations behind the company’s decision to enter Kolkata. The move also coincides with the festive and wedding shopping season, providing an opportunity to introduce the brand’s collections to a new customer base.

The Kolkata opening extends Arundhati Jewellers’ existing network across nine major districts in Odisha, including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Sambalpur and Rourkela. With the addition of the new showroom, the retailer’s total retail space has surpassed 150,000 square feet, reflecting its growing presence in Eastern India’s organised jewellery market.

The flagship presents a portfolio of more than 10,000 jewellery designs, spanning 22-karat HUID-hallmarked gold, diamond and gemstone jewellery. The assortment includes lightweight everyday pieces, contemporary collections and elaborate bridal sets, catering to different purchasing preferences and occasions.

Traditional craftsmanship forms an important part of the showroom’s offering, with designs incorporating regional techniques such as Cuttack’s Tarkashi filigree work. The inclusion of these creations introduces Odisha’s distinctive jewellery-making heritage to Kolkata consumers while complementing the retailer’s wider gold and diamond collections.

Beyond jewellery, the new showroom features a dedicated handloom section curated by the Arundhati Handloom Research Centre. The collection showcases traditional textiles from Odisha, including Sambalpuri Ikat, Bomkai, Berhampuri and Khandua silk sarees, bringing together jewellery and regional textile craftsmanship within a single retail environment.

The integration of handloom products reflects the brand’s approach to presenting traditional craftsmanship across complementary categories. It also provides customers with coordinated options for bridal and occasion wear, extending the showroom experience beyond conventional jewellery retail.

To mark its entry into Kolkata, Arundhati Jewellers has introduced inaugural promotional offers, including gold jewellery making charges starting at 9.99 per cent and discounts of up to 20 per cent on selected handloom silk sarees. The launch promotions also include a lucky draw, subject to applicable terms and conditions.

The retailer is extending its established customer assurance policies to the Kolkata showroom, including old-gold exchange benefits, lifetime maintenance services and complimentary insurance on eligible purchases. Customers can also access the company’s Gold Mine and Gold Plus monthly savings schemes, designed to support planned jewellery purchases.

The West Bengal launch forms part of Arundhati Jewellers’ transition from an Odisha-focused retailer into a multi-state jewellery business. The company, which employs more than 1,200 people, is pursuing expansion opportunities in neighbouring markets while continuing to strengthen its presence within Odisha.

Upcoming showroom plans include new locations in Angul and Balasore, alongside the continued integration of traditional handloom collections into selected flagship stores.

With its first Kolkata showroom, Arundhati Jewellers is extending its regional retail strategy into a market with established jewellery-buying traditions, combining Odisha’s craftsmanship heritage with an expanded gold, diamond and bridal jewellery offering.
