Doha: Oman-based jewellery and bullion retailer AMTUR Gold & Diamonds has entered the Qatari market with the opening of its 14th branch, marking another step in the company’s regional expansion across the GCC.
The new showroom opened on 6 September 2026 and extends AMTUR’s retail presence beyond Oman as the company looks to build a wider regional customer base for its gold, diamond jewellery and bullion offerings.
Founded in Oman, AMTUR has grown through a network of jewellery showrooms, bullion outlets and other precious-metal activities. The company’s expansion strategy has centred on extending its retail footprint while maintaining its Omani identity in new markets.
Commenting on the Qatar launch, Sameer Khan, Managing Director, AMTUR Gold & Diamonds, said the opening represents an important stage in the company’s international growth journey and its ambition to take an Oman-built jewellery brand into wider regional and global markets.
He added that Oman had provided the foundation for the business to grow and that AMTUR intends to carry that heritage forward as it expands into additional markets.
The new Qatar branch will cater to customers seeking gold jewellery, diamond jewellery and bullion products, while also strengthening AMTUR’s presence within the Gulf retail landscape.
The move reflects the continued importance of cross-border expansion within the GCC jewellery market, where regional brands are increasingly building networks beyond their home markets to reach a broader base of consumers.
With Qatar now added to its footprint, AMTUR Gold & Diamonds is positioning the expansion as part of a longer-term strategy to develop its presence across the GCC and explore further international markets.
