GJC’s PMI Goa 2026 Concludes, Strengthening Manufacturer-Retailer Business Connect
Goa: The All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC) concluded the Goa edition of its Preferred Manufacturer of India (PMI) buyer-seller networking meet, held from June 15 to June 17, 2026. The three-day platform brought together leading manufacturers, wholesalers and selected jewellery retailers for focused business interactions in a curated setting.

PMI is one of GJC’s flagship industry platforms and is designed as an exclusive B2B meeting format for India’s domestic gems and jewellery trade. Unlike a conventional trade exhibition, the format works on an invitation-led model, connecting manufacturers and wholesalers with hand-picked retailers based on business profile, market focus and product requirements.

The Goa edition followed a closed-door meeting structure, with negotiations and business discussions conducted inside dedicated cabins. This format is aimed at creating high-value, focused interactions while reducing the marketing and promotional costs typically associated with large-scale trade shows.

The platform enables jewellery brands and manufacturers to strengthen visibility among premium retailers, widen their market reach and build deeper business relationships. For retailers, PMI offers a direct opportunity to discover new collections, assess manufacturing capabilities and plan inventory requirements with trusted suppliers.

The retailer participation at PMI generally includes owners and senior decision-makers from multi-store jewellery brands, family-run jewellery houses and chain stores across metros, tier-II and tier-III markets. On the manufacturer side, the platform brings together leading names across gold, diamond, studded, antique and design-led jewellery categories.

Goa has become one of PMI’s important destinations, combining serious business discussions with a relationship-driven atmosphere. The location has helped the platform build a distinct identity within India’s domestic jewellery calendar, especially as brands and retailers look for focused networking beyond conventional exhibition formats.

The previous Goa edition, held in June 2025, had brought together more than 45 manufacturers and over 210 premium retailers. It had also introduced an exclusive Diamond Pavilion, showcasing 15 diamond manufacturers alongside segments such as gold, antique, couture diamond, allied products and machinery.

The 2026 edition continued to build on this positioning, offering a structured environment for manufacturer-retailer engagement at a time when the trade is preparing for the upcoming wedding and festive season demand.

The platform operates under the leadership of GJC Chairman Rajesh Rokde and Vice Chairman Avinash Gupta, who have positioned PMI as a business-first initiative focused on strengthening long-term relationships between manufacturers and retailers.

As India’s domestic jewellery market continues to evolve, curated platforms like PMI are becoming increasingly relevant. Retailers are looking for sharper product selection, faster buying decisions and reliable manufacturer partnerships, while manufacturers are seeking direct access to serious buyers across established and emerging markets.

The Goa meet also reflects the growing importance of focused B2B jewellery platforms that go beyond display-led exhibitions and create more efficient business conversations between both sides of the trade.

Following the Goa edition, PMI’s 2026 calendar is expected to continue with its next show in Chennai, scheduled from November 28 to November 30, 2026.
