Alfardan Jewellery’s Noudar Gains Global Attention Through Shakira’s Look

Doha: Alfardan Jewellery’s only in-house fine jewellery brand, Noudar, has gained global attention after Shakira was seen wearing its signature 'Henna Rings' in the newly released Choka Choka music video.

Noudar, founded by Noor Ali Hussain Alfardan in 2012, is a Qatari fine jewellery brand whose name derives from an ancient Arabic word for gold. The brand combines the timeless beauty of Arabian civilisation with a modern approach to luxury jewellery.

Its collections are inspired by Arabic and Islamic culture, with Omani patterns, mosaic-like details and henna motifs forming an important part of its design language. The Henna Rings reflect this identity strongly, transforming the traditional art of hand adornment into a contemporary fine jewellery statement.

Noor Ali Hussain Alfardan, Founder and Designer of Noudar Jewels, has also brought her interest in watches and their mechanisms into the brand’s design approach. This can be seen in Noudar’s focus on craftsmanship, comfort, movement and flexibility, while its collections remain rooted in Arabian and Islamic heritage and designed for the modern woman.

As Alfardan Jewellery’s only in-house brand, Noudar carries forward the jewellery house’s legacy in fine jewellery while building its own global presence. Its designs have been worn by international names including Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez and Kendall Jenner.

Shakira’s appearance in the Henna Rings places Noudar once again on a global platform. In a dance-led music video, jewellery worn on the hand carries strong visual impact, making the rings part of the performance rather than just an accessory.

This moment reinforces the growing international visibility of Middle Eastern jewellery design. For Noudar, the Henna Rings stand as a strong example of how heritage, craftsmanship and modern glamour can come together in a globally relevant luxury jewellery piece.
